1、 Project background

In order to improve the water environment, standardize prevention and control goals at the macro level, and solve problems such as enterprise wastewater, drinking water quality, and groundwater pollution from the root, it is necessary to establish a comprehensive monitoring and management system for water quality, and improve the automation of water management.

The solution for online remote monitoring of water quality utilizes modern information technology to connect water quality data collectors distributed in different locations through a network, achieving real-time collection, transmission, storage, analysis, and display of water quality parameters, as well as timely alarm and handling of abnormal situations. This not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of water quality monitoring, reduces labor and material costs, but also enables timely detection and resolution of water quality issues, ensuring water environment safety.

2、 The current problems in water quality monitoring

1. A large amount of human and material resources are wasted. China has a vast territory, and the actual situation in each region is complex, and the actual situation of water resources is also different. Relying solely on existing standards for testing and judging the quality of water quality, the goals of water quality monitoring projects are unclear, and repeated monitoring of certain projects with low pollution levels consumes a lot of energy, resulting in a significant waste of human and material resources.

Edge computing gateway is a professional industrial equipment, which can convert various types of data interfaces RS232/485 into standard network protocol Modbus TCP and send data to the cloud or central server through wired or wireless methods (such as network cable/4G/5G, Wi Fi, etc.).

Data collection layer: The gateway mainly collects data by connecting sensors, collectors, and other devices;

After processing, they are presented in real-time in the form of data reports or graphs, and displayed in the form of charts, allowing for a clear view of the changes in real-time data.




2. Intelligent management: supports manual, automatic, and remote control of the online water quality monitoring system, with flexible switching between the three methods and linked control of water pumps and other equipment;
